Iranian waterfalls are different from each other climate by climate so You can find them freshening especially on hot days.
Iranian waterfalls are categorized into two groups. Seasonal and perpetual that are totally about 390 waterfalls. So let’s get to know some of the best of them which are located in glorious-nature Iran.
It is the most popular Iranian waterfall which is located in a region named “Margoon” in Fars province near Yasouj city, the southwest of Iran. “Margoon” in Farsi means “snake-like” that can exactly describe the waterfall’s perfect view. It has a 70-meter hight and a 100-meter width. The temperature of the water is never more than 10 degrees even in the warmest months of the year.
“Margoon is one of Iran’s most wild and beautiful places.” as National Geographic explains. The most attractive fact about Margoon is that it is made of a natural spring.
Laton’s hight is about 105 meters, located in Astara city in Gilan province. This waterfall is one of north Iran’s natural phenomenons. It’s a very lovely place among the hikers because you have to have a long walk in a beautiful forest to reach there. But when you arrive, the place is much more attractive to let you feel tired. Besides, there’s a 65-meter waterfall nearby that makes the area look like heaven.
It’s again Fars province which has the highest waterfall in Iran and the Middleeast. It’s a seasonal waterfall with a 115-meter hight. A heaven-like place surrounded by fig trees.
Hamloon is the name of a region in the east of Tehran city near the Shemshak area which has a beautiful different Iranian waterfall full of icicles good for ice climbing you shouldn’t miss visiting.
